Sadly, our President Charlie Lodge died in January 2020. Charlie was a longstanding plotholder at Northleigh Road and well-known in the area. He was an outstanding gardener and grew the most amazing dahlias year after year, as well as rhubarb and other fruit and vegetables, right into his nineties, only retiring when he had some worrying falls. He is sadly missed but some of us are lucky enough to have some of his rhubarb and dahlia bulbs so we just can’t forget him!
